My husbands favorite meal!
I don't even remember where I got the idea or what they called this recipe. What I can tell you is that my husband really enjoys it when we have this his favorite meal.
Ingredients:
Roast Beef
A-1
Green Bell Pepper, Orange and Red too(sliced)
Onion,sliced
Sliced Cheese(Your favorite)
Submarine Buns
Here's how I make it:
I put all the sliced veggies in a skillet with some A-1 and cook until things start to get soft.
When the veggies are almost done I put the roast beef in 2 stacks in another warm skillet with the sliced cheese on top, just until the cheese starts to melt.
When everything is done I put some more A-1 in the bun. Then I add the roast beef with the veggies being stuffed in last.
I cook a roast and then slice it for this meal. I freeze the slices in freezer bags in just the 2 stacks that I want so that I can pull it out one bag at a time. We also freeze the buns with 2 in each bag.
Oh, and for the sliced cheese I get a few slices of pepper jack but my husband prefers a horseradish cheese from the deli. Again, we just get a few slices each.
We always wait to eat this until after the kids have eaten something else. This saves us money, and makes it our special meal. However, it also means that I don't know if the kids would eat it.

It has officially started!
Summer has started for us. Yes we are still trying to get our school done.
However, we have started our re-enacting season.
We spent Memmorial Weekend at Greenfield Village I'll try to post some pics later.
This next weekend we are off to another event close to our home. I thought it was funny that my Mom
made a comment about waiting for my niece and nephew to get out of that thing called public school before she can leave. She is just so used to me adjusting our schedule to leave when we want that she forgot about them attending public school. It struck me as funny. Must be those funny pregnancy hormones sneaking up on me. At any rate perhaps I will have some pics to share after this next event so that I can better show you what we do.

Gratituesday!
Well today I am thankful for our upcoming vacation. We leave in *gasp* 3 days. As always I have some very supportive help.
Several people have lent us carry-on size bags.
Family and friends are taking the kids so I can get things done. My grandmother is taking the kids today so I can get everyone packed. A close friend is taking them Thursday afternoon so I can do some last minute cleaning before we leave on Friday. Thank you God for providing this wonderful support system for my family. You are so good!

Gratituesday!
I am grateful for a wonderful husband! This past Sunday my husband stood with about 50 other men and did a courageous ceremony at our church. He took classes for several months and then did this ceremony. The pastor as well as one other witness also signed the paper. This is so that they can be held accountable for each other. This amazing RESOLUTION is now framed and hanging by our coat closet. Reminding both of us each day what he resolved to do.
Thank God for a godly leader, husband, and father! The first resolution is about being the spiritual leader of the family. So in answer to the song "Where Are You Men of Courage?" One of those amazing men is living right here in our home!
Thank you Jesus!

Salt?
In a recent sermon our Pastor called us to be the salt of the Earth. I have been continually reminded of this sermon. Last night is a home fellowship it came back to me as we were reminded that sharing our faith with others is normal. The best way to share our faith is to live it out and freely share our stories with others. Thumping them on the head with our Bibles is a true turn off sure to make them stop listening.
We need to be in this world but not of this world. So as were are different and just being ourselves we are salting the Earth. We need to remember that too much salt with destroy the same as it can destroy a meal. Just a little goes a long way.
So as you go about your day let your light so shine that you are salt while not trying to be. Let God guide you as you salt for Him. Remember to thank Him for this great honor. To salt and lead His chosen people and guide them to Him.
